The Innovation & Response Room Competition 2023
New Intent will be showcasing it's groundbreaking idea and future project, 'Beyond Borders: Harnessing the Power of Events for Refugee Relief' in the Innovation & Response Room Competition 2023. This dynamic challenge calls upon ICCA supplier members and associations to step into the spotlight and present their visionary concepts in the business events sphere, with a strong focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
In a world marked by unprecedented displacement and forced migration, the global community must unite and explore innovative solutions to alleviate the suffering of refugees and displaced persons. Business events, with their potential to rewrite the story of refugees and drive awareness, funding, employment, and collaborations, present a unique opportunity to contribute to resolving the global refugee crisis.
This Response Room Innovation challenge will explore how business events and associations can be harnessed as powerful tools for humanitarian action. We will work together to gain insights into these gatherings' multifaceted role in addressing the refugee crisis, from advocacy, employment, and fundraising to partnerships and knowledge exchange.

Shattering the status quo: rethinking accessibility for real inclusion
This session critically assesses our practices to create a more equitable and diverse industry, as we grapple with global resource challenges and embrace its responsibilities towards diversity and inclusion, to identify actionable steps to become better employers, foster prosperity for the underserved, and produce more inclusive events that add incredible value to our industry. Learner outcomes: - Evaluate industry practices in talent acquisition and retention - Examine the impact of accessibility on diversity and inclusion at events - Be inspired to explore collective solutions in addressing these challenges
